My hair is long, thick, straight, %26amp; while it is usually managable I would like it to be extra soft %26amp; smooth.

the best shampoo i ever used on my hair was biolage moisture. i think i got it at trade secret or regis salon. i have long straight hair too, and it makes it so soft and smooth. i love it... you should try it!
I adore Redken Shampoo/Conditioner, try the All Soft variety...It is so worth the extra $$...
Pantene is good use the silk and smooth shampoo and conditioner it works really good. But you know everything that works for one person doesn't work for everybody. So all I can say is test different ones out to see how you like them and do whats best for u.

Have you ever heard of Mane %26amp; Tail for horses. There hair is so coarse it works beautifully on them. And it works for humans hair too!! Your hair will be extra soft and nourished. You should try it before you judge. Just a tip. You can get the conditioner too.
TRESEMME SILKY AND SMOOTH! that's what it's called. i swear it works so well for me. my hair is always so silky. just try it. and don't use shampoos like pantene because they leave residue on your hair and make it look gross. the shampoo/conditioners in drug stores aren't good. and tresemme is the closest to salon quality. remember: it's called TRESEMME SILKY AND SMOOTH!
My hair is really thick too, and I hate it because I could NEVER EVVVVER get it smooth and soft, until I tried Dove. Then Dove came out with the shampoo for black people's hair, and it works better (I'm white =]) Try it.. I swear it works.
