Why is hair so soft after the hairdressers have shampooed it?
What is the difference between hairdresser's shampoo and regular shampoo? Is it to do with shampoo or conditioner, and is there any regular product which gives as nice a result? Why is hair so soft after the hairdressers have shampooed it?
Salon grade products are have better ingredients, also they shampoo properly. The proper way to shampoo is to clean using warm water, and rinse using cold ( or the coldest you can stand). To achieve this by shampoo and conditoner at your salon and ask stylist specificallly what to buy.Why is hair so soft after the hairdressers have shampooed it?
nothing they just condition the crap out of it.
Its because its a DIFFERENT shampoo. You can get the same results at home simply by changing your brand once in a while. People say ingredients ';build up'; from using the same brand all the time. I don't know if that's the reason, but changing brands always works for me - at least for a while.
Because there is more oil in their shampoo and conditioners or they just use it directly.
Why don't we just soap in our hair? It strips all the oil out so it looks flat.
Shampoos strip some out but put some back in - conditioners put more back in - that's why there are ';oil treatments'; to help your hair if you've overdone it - blow drying, hair coloring, etc ...
Every hair is different - it's up to whether $15-$40 dollars is worth it at ';salon places'; or whether $3 conditioner will work for your hair and what you want ...
some shampoos have more expensive ingredients...creamy shampoos that make the hair really nice...try silk effects from Sallys its a salon one that smells nice and works great
because all the oils are gone. its like cats, when their fur is wet, it doesn't feel good. But when its dry and clean, its soft.

Is it okay to use BIOLAGE COLOR SHAMPOO and REDKEN ALL SOFT CONDITIONER together as a set???
I have tried Matrix: Biolage Hydratherapy (the brand is Matrix by the way) shampoo and Redken All Soft Conditioner and it works fine. Will definitely make your hair moisturized and soft. I never dyed my hair and since my hair is moisturized so I don't need a color shampoo. But I'm pretty sure that combo will work fine.Is it okay to use BIOLAGE COLOR SHAMPOO and REDKEN ALL SOFT CONDITIONER together as a set???
YES,luv. Is it okay to use BIOLAGE COLOR SHAMPOO and REDKEN ALL SOFT CONDITIONER together as a set???
Yes it is fine to do that. you are just building your own line of what your hair needs. I think Redkens color shampoo is better and Redkens all soft conditioner is great. That's the combo you should use. There is nothing better about Biolage color shampoo. Redken is better for color anyway because they are a color brand. Good luck. Hope I helped. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.
Totally! I, myself, am doing the opposite of you - I'm currently using Redken All Soft shampoo and the Biolage colour conditioner. It makes my hair amazingly soft and replenishes the moisture that I lose from heat styling.
As long as the products that you are using work for you, there really is no limits as to what shampoo and conditioner you should use together.

What shampoo/conditioner do you use to get soft silky hair?
I use all bed head products. Its a salon quality line so the ph is balanced in the shampoo and conditioner so it conditions my hair without weighing it down or making it look greasy half way through the day. Its not only soft but its strong and shiny. I also don't have any split ends and I straighten my hair every day, I use bed head heat protection though. Also not as much hair comes out in my brush when I use bed head, but when I use dove or other cheap shampoos my hair comes out a lot and it just looks duller. What shampoo/conditioner do you use to get soft silky hair?

What is a shampoo that leaves hair really silky soft? HELP!!?
i've tried pretty much everything on store shelves and i'm not impressed. i've been wanting to try burt's bees more moisture shampoo, is that any good?
thanks so much!! :DWhat is a shampoo that leaves hair really silky soft? HELP!!?
Shampoo goes into the hair shaft and removes dirt and oil, that is all, it doesn't make your hair soft. You need a good conditioner to do that. Biolage Fortifying is the best for nice, soft, healthy hair. Rinse in cool water and never blow dry, blow drying makes it so bad that no product can really help. What is a shampoo that leaves hair really silky soft? HELP!!?
John Frieda root awakening, it leaves hair soft, shiny, and smelling amazing! I suggest using all the products in the line, you get amazing healthy hair, no joke :)
well i used Panten last night and my hair is so so soft i can't even backcomb it no matter how hard i try it just falls out i have used Panten ten for ages and I love it hope this helps =D
Use conditioner and Shampoo as you usually do, i'd say Herbal essences.
If your hairs frizzy or dry or something I'd suggest to use leave-in conditioner or a type of anti-frizz serum like John Frieda. (: Hope it helps ! :3
Herbal Essences works for me same with Aussie :)
pantene ice shine shampoo, conditioner and any surem!!!
and apparently if you put your hair in a bun very loosly, after shower and when it dries it looks really nice
Pantene moisture renewal shampoo and conditioner

I am note sure why, but I got a bunch of All Soft stuff when I went to beauty school, speakers brought us stuff every so often. I never used it but I gave it to my mom (a very picky shampoo and conditioner buyer) and she loved it. I even noticed that it made her hair very shiney, sofe, and it got rid of the frizz!credit

I condition and shampoo my hair every other day and its still frizzy, but soft, any suggestions?
You can use an anti-frizz spray or gel.
And. this may seem simple, but rinsing your hair out with really cold water reduces frizz a lot!I condition and shampoo my hair every other day and its still frizzy, but soft, any suggestions?
My hair is the same way. I suggest only washing it every other day. You can still put conditioner in it everyday if you need to. Then I use Garniar Fructis leave in conditioner for curly and rebelious hair. Thats what works for me. Hope it works for you.I condition and shampoo my hair every other day and its still frizzy, but soft, any suggestions?
I think it is good if you can go w/o washing your hair everyday. Personally I cannnot. My hair looks greasy and matted. So, I wash and condition. Then, after I brush out my hair I add a dime sized amount of John Frieda's Frizz Ease serum http://bravotv.seenon.com/img/product/ca鈥?/a> . Put the dime sized amount in your palm and rub your hands together. Then work it through your hair. If you're prone to greasy hair avoid the roots. You can either sleep in it or apply it before you blow dry.
You can find it all stores (Target, Walmart, etc.) It's around $6-$8 but it lasts a surprisingly long time. I like the serum better because you can better control where it is applied. I have straight hair so I can but it in my wet hair and go to bed and not worry about frizzies in the morninng.
try straightening it. that always works for me.
it seems your hair is naturally dry. dont shampoo it every other day. go a little bit longer without washing it it lets your natural oils come through to do their job. but if u have a hair wetting fetish try conditioning it every other day instead of both shampooing it and conditioning it. put some shine serum in your hair when its wet and use a flat iron on it when its dry this should make your hair smooth and soft.
Me Too and I am nothing more than a mix of Welsh / Irish and English!
I find if I use two products . it seems to help somewhat , particularly in humid weather conditions.
Try A%26amp;G spray conditioner - cheap and easy to find at most hairdressers etc ( Metrotown for example).
And Dove conditioner cream used sparingly , available from Safeways etc
I also rinse through Henna Conditioning Wax`and leave a hot towel on my head !
It seems to do the trick without going to the hairdressers!
Hope this helps - Hilary
cold water, anti-frizz spray, and straighten it.
id say a flat iron and anti frizz stuff

What shampoo can make hair soft?
Hello all,
I have curley hair I am wondering can I make my hair soft?
If so what shampoo should I use.
BTW I'm a guyWhat shampoo can make hair soft?
THE VERY BEST EVER...Biolage Hydratherapy. Gets you such soft hair without girly smells. It also won't make your hair greasy! I swear by this line. What shampoo can make hair soft?
i think every1 has his/her own experience abt their hair n shampoos which work gud n bad for them i think u shud think which one worked for u in all dis time n buy tht one.......
tht ll b d best idea..
coz every1 has diff hair n diff hair problem so just listen to urself..
you can use old beer as a conditioner. that is supposed to make you hair really soft, no joke.
it dose not matter that you are a guy. I have curly hair as well and I use Aveda salon products and they work magic on my hair!!!!!!
Biosilk's Silk Therapy shampoo and conditioner is Amazing for curly hair. You have to buy it at a salon or some place like Beauty Brands/Beauty Express.
Any salon quality product. I'd recomend Bed Head mouisture maniac conditioner or sself absorbed conditioner, also by bed head.
Pantine makes your hair soft but its still wavy also there is Redken and herbal esences I have never tried herbal esences but i heard it mmakes your hair soft also redken is a salon brand so it might be a little expensiver but it makes hair perfect
Herbal Essences is a great product that works well with all hair types. Its inexpensive and smells great!
go to whole foods and buy the organic shampoos, they totally work
HERBAL ESSENCES! AND CONDITIONAR MAKES HAIR SOFT, NOT SHAMPOO!
garnier fructis
Herbal essences, although I don't know how willing you'll be to use it if you're male. Nevertheless, if you leave some conditioner in your hair for a few hours before washing it out, it softens it. I do that to stop my hair going too dry.
Baby shampoo works really well for making your hair soft.

My hair is thick and quite curly and frizzy..wat shampoo can make my hair soft and straight?
any methods to striaghten my hair other than ironing....healthy and cheap ..pls suggest..My hair is thick and quite curly and frizzy..wat shampoo can make my hair soft and straight?
curyl hair needs moisture, but also something that is going to lay on the hair and close the cuticle. look for products that include silicone. Matrix Sleek Look is great but if you have seriously unruly hair i think you'll want to go for the Redken smooth down. Blow dry with a diffuser.
By definition straightening hair is damaging, but there is a way to do it that can minimize damage. Basically the idea is to have some kind of product on your hair throughout each step so that heat does not zap moisture from your hair and your styling tools are constantly lubricated.
After shampooing and conditioning. Apply a blow dry cream mixed with serum (really any serum will do, I've found that they are all the same. john frieda is the standard though.) Take 1 inch by 2 inch sections of hair and blow dry your hair straight with what ever brush you like (boar brushes make hair the straightest though). Aim the blow dryer down the hair shaft so that the cuticles lay down and your hair will dry evenly and be really shiny. Depending on how skilled you are with a brush your hair should come out fairly straight.
If you really want to cheat the who blow drying with a brush thing you can always get a comb attachment for your blow dryer. I use that with my CHI blow dryer and my comes out pin straight-- and my hair is kinky.
This was a lot, but good luck!My hair is thick and quite curly and frizzy..wat shampoo can make my hair soft and straight?
try using herbal essenses shampoo and conditioner..it smells good, too.
I have curly frizzy hair, and Nexus deep conditioner makes it soft. I don't know what can make it straight without frying it though.
curyl hair needs moisture, but also something that is going to lay on the hair and close the cuticle. look for products that include silicone.

Which shampoo and conditioner would make my hair really soft, silky, strong and healthy?
i have tried loads but not all work and i really want soft, silky, strong and healthy hairWhich shampoo and conditioner would make my hair really soft, silky, strong and healthy?
KMS Silk Sheen. Use the shampoo, conditioner, and shaping creme. Every time I use it, I can't help but run my fingers through my hair because it gets really soft, not to mention the shine. For something more intense, try the KMS Silk treatment.Which shampoo and conditioner would make my hair really soft, silky, strong and healthy?
My hair is always softest when I use shampoo and conditioner made for permed or color treated hair. My hair is neither. But the shampoo and conditioner made for permed or color treated hair is more gentile and has extra conditioners in it to help protect your hair and help with some of the damage if it were. So because of this it works really good just for everyday use by anyone. I like, and get the best results with, Herbal Essence.
i used to have the WORST kind of hair you can imagine....shoulder length, damaged from heat styling, split ends, frizz, dryness, puffyness...coarse...all just meant really ugly hair. until i found my miracle. the ONLY shampoo and conditioner ive EVER used in my life that made my hair AMAZING...im serious, its a freakin miracle. its by a company called rusk. you can only get it in a salon. i got the 'moist shampoo' and 'calm conditioner' and the results, are AMAZING! it was awsome the first time i even used it, but over time it has made my hair even BETTER. its like it really changed the health and structure of my hair. i now have gorgeous hair, no frizz, curl, poof etc. AND it seems to be actually growing faster now!!!
PureOlogy shampoo %26amp; conditioner is awesome. They have products for straight hair, curly hair, flat hair, and even dyed hair. And they actually work.
pureology for sure! it's expensive but so worth it. and they don't test on animals either. it makes my hair super shiny and soft! love that stuff
Don't forget a lot of it has to do with diet and genetics also.

any methods to striaghten my hair other than ironing....healthy and cheap ..pls suggest..My hair is thick and quite curly and frizzy..wat shampoo can make my hair soft and straight?
umm... Cream of Nature Shampoo for Dry and Brittle Hair. It's so amazing that you don't even need conditioner after. That's what the bottle used to say.... they only changed what the bottle says when the company invented a conditioner. But seriously you don't even need a conditiner after it--BUT you should use one especially if you are going to straighten your hair.My hair is thick and quite curly and frizzy..wat shampoo can make my hair soft and straight?
I would try looking for a cosmetologist that specializes in African American hair. I know it sounds funny but, they could direct you to inexpensive perms that could permanently straighten your hair. You would have to go back for a touch up every sixty to ninety day's
i have super super curly and frizzy hair, and to add insult to injury, i also colour my hair.
first off, do not over shampoo your hair- you don't need to shampoo every time you hop in the shower. you can condition alone.
i shampoo my hair approximately once a week, sometimes even less than that. i use a good shampoo (rusk moist), and the best conditioner i have found is dove (and ive tried boatloads! cheap ones and expensive ones).
what it really comes down to is product. i swear by phyto relaxing balm, combined with bumble and bumble curl cream.
stop trying to fight the curls! embrace your curly headed self!
good luck!
get the dangerously straight shampoo from pantene
it makes it striaghten nicely and keeps your hair healthy
well it depends.
but you just have to look Maybe even go to like a hairstylist and just ask them and see what they recommend.
but you can try things like anti frizz shampoos and stuff but you have to maybe try a few things before you find the right thing.
but there's no problem in trying.
i like the garnier fruitesse sleek and shine system because i have the same problem!
i really haven't come across any other methods to straighten your hair, but brushing it well while it air drys helps a lot. also letting it dry when it is down and straight instead of while your asleep and bunched up on a pillow.
whenever you straighten your hair use a heat-protecting spray so it isn't damaged. herbal essence makes a good, cheap one.
also blow-drying your hair straightens it as well, but it will be poofy-er.
good luck :)
and try not to straighten your hair too much!
ask your hair-cutter for other tips and styles that will help your hair (layers are great!)
My hair's fine and curly and can be frizzy, and I have a whole mess of it.
I've thined it out with a razor before. Worked pretty well to lay it down flat.
And sleep with it in a ponytail helps.
But dude, you can't fight your hair. Once I let it be and stoped blow drying and straightening a lot of people were saying, ';You're looking pretty today, Kate.'; And that felt really good.credit

Tresemme Shampoo and conditioner. To help get your hair really soft after you wash your hair put conditioner on and then put on a shower cap. Continue your shower then wash out conditioner. Do this at least twice a week for 20 minutes. Just for duration of shower rest of the week
never use Suave, that stuff is crap %26amp; its cheap because you get what you pay for. Try Loreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Shampoo (even if you dont have dry hair, it still works great).
I combine that with Herbal essences Drama Clean shampoo (i use that first)...the drama clean gets it clean, the others moisturize soften and treat...my hair is always shiny and soft %26amp; i have coarse hair !
I have used many expensive salon shampoos and conditioners and those are my favorites at the moment and theyre all from drugstores !
ORGANIX!!! they are the best hair products ive ever used their coconut milk, vanilla silk, and shea butter are the best!!! they smell delish and keep your hair uber soft! they're containers are also made of recyclable materials and are 100% not tested on animals! go to organixhair.com to find the one thats right for you and which stores sell them! trust me theyre great!:]]]]
I used to use Pantene and I liked the volumizing because it made my hair pretty soft but I heard it was awful for your hair and it also made it feel kinda waxy.
So now I use Aussie volumizing and it is AWESOME!
Tresemme Shampoo and Conditioner.
Makes my hair really soft and smooth and my boyfriend loves the smell:)

What shampoo/conditioner gives thin hair volume and keeps it moisturized, shiny, smooth, soft, and healthy?
I dye my hair so it tends to be dry and frizzy, even though it's dry and on the thinner side. I really want to make it shiny, healthy, smooth and moisturized and it needs more volume. help me please. thank you.
a lot of conditioners weigh my hair down, but moisturize wonderfully, so it's hard to pick a good one since i want both things out of it.What shampoo/conditioner gives thin hair volume and keeps it moisturized, shiny, smooth, soft, and healthy?
I use Loreal Vive, and it works very well. It is in a bright pink bottle, and the type of shampoo is ';Nutri Gloss shampoo. Mirror shine, cashmere touch. For medium to long hair that's damaged';. What shampoo/conditioner gives thin hair volume and keeps it moisturized, shiny, smooth, soft, and healthy?

Is it okay to use BIOLAGE COLOR SHAMPOO and REDKEN ALL SOFT CONDITIONER together as a set???
Yes, it does not matter what shampoo and conditioner you pair up.Is it okay to use BIOLAGE COLOR SHAMPOO and REDKEN ALL SOFT CONDITIONER together as a set???
yes its actually better to use different products on your hair.Is it okay to use BIOLAGE COLOR SHAMPOO and REDKEN ALL SOFT CONDITIONER together as a set???
Yes, however it is better to use the same line on your hair because the products are formulated to work together as a system.
Yes, why wouldn't it be?
The manufacturers just recommend using their products together for ';best results';...but it's really just a scam to get you to buy more from them!

Is there a natural shampoo I can use to make my hair soft?
Aubrey, a line of beauty products sold exclusively in healthfood stores is AWESOMME! They have different types of shampoo %26amp; conditioner for whatever hair type you have. I'm a stylist and don't recommend many drug store products, but this is a reputable line with all natural ingredients. Is there a natural shampoo I can use to make my hair soft?
herbal essence shampoos/conditioners work really well. and they smell really good =)Is there a natural shampoo I can use to make my hair soft?
Ooh, the new Dove hair care line is sooo good (and cheap too!) Their Intense Moisture shampoo doesn't strip your hair of the natural oils that your scalp produces, so your hair comes out super-soft and with much less damage than regular shampoo. Try their conditioners too.

How do you know if a shampoo is 'rough' or 'soft'?
well this refers to my hair and shampoo,im a guy and since i have dry hair someone has said that i should be using a 'softer shampoo' and avoid using conditioner...well anyways. With that being said, how will i know if a shampoo is 'soft or rough' ?
(also, i even bought ';Soft and Silky'; shampoo for dry frizzy hair from Head and Shoulders..and yeah..its still dry)How do you know if a shampoo is 'rough' or 'soft'?
I don't really know the answer to your question, but I can tell you this. I used to have really dry hair. Then i started using Garnier Fructis. Now my hair is as soft and healthy as ever. I would recommend this to anyone. It's really amazing stuff. Hope I could help. How do you know if a shampoo is 'rough' or 'soft'?

Wat is the best cheap shampoo to get rid of split ends and make hair soft?
i have tons of split ends my hair is not that soft what do i do???Wat is the best cheap shampoo to get rid of split ends and make hair soft?
Get a trim to get rid of the split ends. Then care properly for your hair by not shampooing everyday. Use a good conditioner, like Pantene, and apply it to the middle and ends of your hair to give the shaft strength.Wat is the best cheap shampoo to get rid of split ends and make hair soft?
Simple precautions and home remedies can prevent formation of split ends. After shampooing and conditioning the hair, apply a drop of olive oil on the hair ,Aloe Vera juice can also be sprayed to moisturize the hair .More details at the link provided.
you can actually buy any type of cheap shampoo and conditioner and all you need is to pour a little honey in the shampoo to soften it and if you want to get rid of split ends just rub a little oil on the ends of your hair cause it will work i use the same thing every week
TRY IT!!!
Use some olive oil, just a little warm, you massage all you hair with it and you put a wet warm towel over your hair and you live it for an hour. After that you wash your hair and rinse it with vinegar and lots of water.
It will work wonders from the first use, it's inexpensive and very easy to use.
:)
You want to get the job done? Well Nothing very good comes cheap. Its price vs. quality here.
I like VO5 split ends
White Rain conditioner and shampoo.
the best not cheap shampoo is fructis for dry and damaged hair or for shiine it will make your hair much better good luck they hav a whole bunch of different treatments for different hairtypes
u shoul also try trimming you split end at least once a month that
helps alot
better than shampoo
don't buy any shampoo with alcohol in it, aussie mega shampoo is wonderful also try burt's bee's avacodo butter.
Shampoo won't fix split ends..they can prevent them..but if they are already there..then you're gonna have 2 get a trim...I think Suave is a really good choice if you want a cheap shampoo that works good. Try the one where it says Biobasics and it also says';reduces split ends'; in pink on the bottle.
If only a shampoo could fix them. You'll need to get a trim, sorry.
none shampoo does not help spit ends you have to condition it also try vitamin e it helps strengthen your hair and makes it grow faster

Would my water type (hard or soft) have an affect on how well my shampoo works?
it is easier to get a lather with softer water, and hard water leaves minerals in your hair that make it dull. lather doesn't mean its working better, but it does seem to be easier to get out when it does lather.Would my water type (hard or soft) have an affect on how well my shampoo works?
Possible, the softer the water the better it is for your hair, so they say.
But to spend the money on a filter system just to get soft water to wash your hair so that it is soft and pretty? Is a bad ideal.
The softer the water the less soap and shampoo that you need to use.

Whoo Dove. The dove shapoo works great okay so sunsilk the yellow bottle will help alot, but after the first tow weeks you will need to change ur shampoo so try dove moisture
First, use a stripping shampoo to get out the herbal essences wax build up out.
Then, use a salon professional shampoo, and a detangling rinse. I like paul mitchell detangler, or biolage detangler.
Watch for sales at salons!
well Fructis Garnier is the best for making your hair stronger. I would recommend that.
I use Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner -- it makes your soft, full, strong, and it smells great!!
a kid at my son's school did a science fair project on shampoos and determined that suave make your hair stronger than higher priced shampoos...don't know if that means anything, but that's the shampoo that i use and i don't have any hair problems...good luck
Volumizing shampoos and conditioners.
Herbal Essence is cheap and strips your hair, try something that's more proffesional and won't cost you a leg and an arm!

Oh My. I read that link and I couldn't believe the horrible reactions that the dogs had. My suggestion would be to bathe him in Miracle Soap (www.miraclesoap.com) -- it does work for animals AND people. It is all natural and actually rids people of lice and animals of fleas. It also helps draw out the toxins already in the body, which is the most important thing for you to do right now. There may be other products like this out there, but I am not aware of any off the top of my head. Please still take your pup to the vet ASAP and see if the vet thinks he needs some type of anti-histamine to help with the allergic reaction.I used sergeants fur so soft dog shampoo on the 11th Plz read?
It could be that your dog is allergic to that particular shampoo. My moms little dog did that after getting a flea treatment. So it may not be the product. I'm not saying they are not at fault but they have allergies just like humans.
Sargeant's is bad stuff. Your dog sounds like he has organochlorine poisoning just like the others in the article. The antidote is atropine. I almost lost two collies after giving them the Sargeant's worming drug back in the 1970s. It looks like their safety factor hasn't really improved. Once he's back to health, Frontline and Advantage are much better tolerated. Frontline stays in the sebaceous glands on the skin and doesn't go into the bloodstream like the Sargeant's stuff did.
I wished I did know how to get them to stop. These companies know their products pose a health risk but it affects a smaller portion of the pet population than the majority who buy it. This is what having a companies with big bucks %26amp; deep pockets get to do. You can join this group in writing %26amp; sending complaints to Hartz. I believe there is a class action suit that you might want to read or join. Good luck %26amp; I hope your dog will be fine.

Can anyone reccomend a shampoo/conditioner brand NOT tested on animals that leaves hair strong soft & healthy?
I've tried Nexxus, Tresemme, VO5, Earth Essentials Shampoo and some misc. oil based shampoo that left my hair dry and brittle. None of these work well for my hair type, which is odd, because my hair is straight and thick. I was hoping someone can point me towards something that has worked wonderfully for them. Any expert advice? Thanks!!!Can anyone reccomend a shampoo/conditioner brand NOT tested on animals that leaves hair strong soft %26amp; healthy?
I like to use Citre Shine. I have thick hair and a lot of it too. Citre Shine works great with my hair type and they are very active in furthering research to eliminate all animal testing.
As for Redken, I do like their products but I didn't know that their products were free from animal-testing...please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that they are or not, it's been a long time since I've bought Redken. I just want to suggest that you always buy their products from an actual salon. If you see Redken products at retail stores such as Walmart be careful, it's NOT the same thing! Redken is doing all they can to get the word out there about this issue. I'll leave the link for further information on this (there's an interesting youtube video too!) if anyone is interested:

Funny because I use Treseme and I love it! I also take Flaxseed oil viatimins that help your hair, skin and nails. I take two a day. I have noticed a HUGE difference in my hair. It is healthy and shiny. I thought it was the shampoo and conditioner but now that I think about it, it is the viatamins.
ash is obviously ignorant as there are many ways this can be tested more effectively than on animals :)
Anyways, Biolage is AMAZING! as well as any Paul Mitchell brand shampoo's and conditioners. They definetley hydrate your hair.
They are cruelty free!
redken smooth down.
it treats hair very well and i doubt theres any shampoo or conditioner that doesnt test on animals

What is a healthy shampoo and conditioner that will make my hair moist and soft?
This really depends on your hair type. I'll recommend some, as well as warn you against some.
Don't not purchase any products from dove, Pantene, or herbal essences.
These companies put large amounts of wax in their products-which means that your hair looks great for about a week, and then it becomes stringy and grimy looking.
For fine hair (this doesn't mean thin!): Sebastian light (or douse once a week) shampoo/conditioner
For medium: Try ion's moisturizing shampoo/conditioner
hope this helps :)
What is a healthy shampoo and conditioner that will make my hair moist and soft?
I am adicted to Dove moisture repair! i have used there shampoo and conditioner for three years and i am so glad i found it. It smells great but not overpowering and makes your hair soft and healthy to look at. I have super long hair and i love the shampoo for it. definitley get Dove. i often get complements on how soft my hair is and i straighten/and curl it frequently which should dry it out.. yet dove keeps it great! i love it!!What is a healthy shampoo and conditioner that will make my hair moist and soft?
I use ';TRESemme'; shampoo and conditioner..
I really like it and i LOVE the way it smells
Its pretty cheap and you don't need a lot in your hand to make it spread around in your hair, so that is really convenient!! :)
Hope I helped!!
Biolage, its miracle shampoo, thats what i use and my hair is soft ,shiny, and healthy
I use proffessinal shampoos like in the salons, the next time you go to hte barbor or salon ask about there shampoo.
hope this helps.

Does head and shoulders ';smooth and silky'; shampoo really make frizzy and rough hair soft?
I have really rough and coarse hair:(Does head and shoulders ';smooth and silky'; shampoo really make frizzy and rough hair soft?
don't believe everything a shampoo comercial says, they just want their product to sell. my advice would be to try the shampoo (or buy maybe 2 or 3 different ones) and see if you like the shampoo and how it handles your hairDoes head and shoulders ';smooth and silky'; shampoo really make frizzy and rough hair soft?
Depends, if you take a multi vitamin, and eat healthy, like a lot of oatmeal (not the instant) cereal, fish, and lots of other Omega 3 fatty acids along with yoiur food, you'll have magnificent hair, what you can do on the outside, you can also accomplish within.
I odn't know about head and shoulders but i do knw that pantene pro-v (the certain kind made for frizzy and rough hair) works.credit

Can I mix Redken Cool Moisture Shampoo with Redken All Soft Conditioner? [10 points]?
is it bad to combine shampoos and conditioners that arent the same kind? they are both redken but not the same type. Can I mix Redken Cool Moisture Shampoo with Redken All Soft Conditioner? [10 points]?
i do it all the time with different brandsCan I mix Redken Cool Moisture Shampoo with Redken All Soft Conditioner? [10 points]?
I don't think it really matters.
I mix my shampoo and conditioner all the time and my hair looks the same, feels the same, and it has no adverse effects.
That is totally fine. When we had our own salon, we used Redken and it said that you could mix the ';hair shot'; treatments for a more customized effect. It will be fine.
i do it all the time, and the same thing with lotions, and they actually work better that way.
call the 1-800 number and ask but i would think it would be fine..

.What shampoo is best for making and keeping your hair soft?
Shampoo is a common hair care product used for the removal of oils, dirt, skin particles, dandruff, environmental pollutants and other contaminant particles that gradually build up in hair. The goal is to remove the unwanted build-up without stripping out so much as to make hair unmanageable.
Shampoo, when lathered with water, is a surfactant, which, while cleaning the hair and scalp, can remove the natural oils (sebum) which lubricate the hair shaft.
Shampooing is frequently followed by conditioners which increase the ease of combing and styling.
HOW SHAMPOO WORKS
Shampoo cleans by stripping sebum from the hair. Sebum is an oil secreted by hair follicles that is readily absorbed by the strands of hair, and forms a protective layer. Sebum protects the protein structure of hair from damage, but this protection comes at a cost. It tends to collect dirt, styling products and scalp flakes. Surfactants strip the sebum from the hair shafts and thereby remove the dirt attached to it.
While both soaps and shampoos contain surfactants, soap bonds to oils with such affinity that it removes too much if used on hair. Shampoo uses a different class of surfactants balanced to avoid removing too much oil from the hair.
The chemical mechanisms that underlie hair cleansing are similar to that of traditional soap. Undamaged hair has a hydrophobic surface to which skin lipids such as sebum stick, but water is initially repelled. The lipids do not come off easily when the hair is rinsed with plain water. The anionic surfactants substantially reduce the interfacial surface tension and allow for the removal of the sebum from the hair shaft. The non-polar oily materials on the hair shaft are solubilised into the surfactant micelle structures of the shampoo and are removed during rinsing. There is also considerable removal through a surfactant and oil ';roll up'; effect. The foamy effect achieved by massaging shampoo into the hair is purely aesthetic.
COMPOSITION
Shampoo formulations seek to maximize the following qualities:
Easy rinsing
Good finish after washing hair
Minimal skin/eye irritation
No damage to hair
Feels thick and/or creamy
Pleasant fragrance
Low toxicity
Good biodegradability
Slightly acidic (pH less than 7), since a basic environment weakens the hair by breaking the disulfide bonds in hair keratin.
Many shampoos are pearlescent. This effect is achieved by addition of tiny flakes of suitable materials, eg. glycol distearate, chemically derived from stearic acid, which may have either animal or vegetable origins. Glycol distearate is a wax.
Dandruff
Cosmetic companies have developed shampoos specifically for those who have dandruff. These contain fungicides such as ketoconazole, zinc pyrithione and selenium sulfide which reduce loose dander by killing Malassezia furfur. Coal tar and salicylate derivatives are often used as well.
All-natural
Some companies use ';all-natural';, ';organic';, ';botanical';, or ';plant-derived'; ingredients (such as plant extracts or oils), combining these additions with one or more typical surfactants. The effectiveness of these organic ingredients is disputed.
Alternative shampoos, sometimes labeled SLS-free, have fewer harsh chemicals - typically none from the sulfate family. They are claimed to be gentler on human hair.

Try Chi Farrouk products if you don't have a budget. It loosens the curls and makes them lustrous. If you have a budget try Hawaiian Silky or Silk Elements products (both available fro Sally's).I have curly hair how do i make it nice, soft, silky and shiny! Wat shampoo and condintioner should i use??
Actually this might sound funny, but I have been using the Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky, and it has been working really well! Surprised huh?! It really does work. I straighten my hair also, so with that shampoo and conditioner, it makes my hair soo soft and shiny! :)
use a straightener ..this makes your hair straight but also shiny and soft ..

It's an extremely natural shampoo that your hair will simply ADORE. My hair (I dye it) turned to silk and shone like gold after i started using it. I used to sell it when I was the beauty specialist at the Bath %26amp; Body Works Flagship store in South Coast Plaza, CA, so I randomly just tried a sample we got. It was amazing.
I HIGHLY recommend it! :) :)
Good Luck with whatever you choose!

The BEST is Sebastian Laminates Shampoo and COnditioner. Makes hair so shiny, frizzless, smells great! It is about $15 a bottle but tottally worth it!What shampoo for really shinny soft hair?
try the loreal elseve nutrigloss... they're the pink ones...try the whole line of them...there's shampoo, conditioner, leave-on and hair mask...all to make your hair shiny and soft and frizz free!!! i use them and i get great results! cheers!
Try FINESE SHAMPOO AND CONDITONER.
garnier fructis (not right spelling)
and get the garnier fuctis 3 minute hair masque. it is conditioner you just leave on for 3 minutes.
try redken's all soft,it's pretty good
Any shampoo that contains a conditioner.
I've found the best thing for soft,
shiny hair, is a hair brush.
I say herbal essences. They have shampoo, conditioners, hairspray, and all types of hair products for different hair types, including frizziness.
